Hurricane Florence | Pray, Give, Go.
There are many who have been affected by Hurricane Florence in our state.
We as a campus community are working closely with NAMB to plan several ministry opportunities to the parts of North Carolina suffering the most. However, there are ways you can begin to help those effected in our state now:
1) Pray.
Pray for those affected by the storm. The latest numbers are that 33 people have lost their lives in this storm. Pray for the families that have lost loved ones and that have lost their homes and/or livelihoods. May all our efforts, both financial and physical, be under-girded with prayer.
2) Give.
Through SEND Relief (https://www.sendrelief.org/donate/) and Baptist on Mission (https://baptistsonmission.org/Mission-Projects/By-Mission-Type/Disaster-Relief/Hurricane-Florence/Donations) we are able to pool our resources as Baptists in order to walk head first into these terrible circumstances and love those who are desperately hurting.
3) Go.
Take some time to assist in the clean-up process through Baptists on Mission (https://baptistsonmission.org/Mission-Projects/By-Mission-Type/Disaster-Relief/Hurricane-Florence/Get-Involved). Information about trips through the CGCS (www.thecgcs.org) and NAMB will be released as soon as it becomes available.
