An Invitation to Make Music- Southeastern’s music opportunities!

Are you eager to sing to the Lord a new song? Would you like to join others playing skillfully unto the Lord? (Ps 33:3) Consider participating in a music ensemble or class at Southeastern! Discover or develop your musical gifts and make music for the glory of God at Southeastern!

Perform in an ensemble:

Singers and instrumentalists can receive one hour free credit per semester by participating in a music ensemble.

  1. Sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses are needed for the choir. Contact Dr. John Boozer at jboozer@sebts.edu for more information.
  2. Woodwind, string, and brass players are needed for the orchestra. Contact Professor Joshua Waggener at jwaggener@sebts.edu for more information.

Learn to sing well in a voice class:

No music-reading or singing experience is necessary for MUS1530 Voice Class for Non-Majors. Learn to take care of your voice while you develop your vocal confidence. For questions, contact Professor Susan Lozaw at slozaw@sebts.edu.

Learn to play the piano in one of our piano classes:

No experience necessary. Take advantage of this opportunity to develop a skill you will enjoy, and one that will enhance your ministry. For questions, contact Dr. Nannette Godwin at ngodwin@sebts.edu.

Learn to play the guitar in one of our guitar classes:

Beginning and intermediate instruction available. Learn skills for making music and leading worship with guitar. For questions, contact Professor Joshua Waggener at jwaggener@sebts.edu.
