Stewardship: Why We Must Value Time
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” – Ephesians 5:15-17
In this season of life, students find themselves overwhelmed with the amount of responsibility and obligations that they have. We go to class, we do homework, we serve the church, we go to work, we read our bible for class, we go to church, and yet we still somehow “find time” to seek after Jesus. What if instead we sought after Him first and everything else followed behind? If we prioritize our time and our responsibilities, then God will bless that by not only helping us pursue him (like only he can), but he also will allow us the wisdom to say no.
“No” is the hardest thing to say, but sadly if it is not said, then we become overwhelmed with all that life throws at us. God wants all of us and all our time. So why can’t we seek after the Lord first? And because of His love for us, He will show us the way we need to go if we ask it of Him.
Conclusion: this Calibrate, Fuller House wants you to be able to focus more on the time God has given to you, to go out with a friend who is in desperate need of encouragement, to serve where God sees fit, but most important, seek first the Kingdom of God.
We are excited for April 20 and cannot wait to see you there!
