“Jubilate” Concert – April 28, 2011
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary has announced the seminary’s Music Program ensembles 9th annual Spring concert, “Jubilate,” for April 28 at 8:00 PM in Binkley Chapel on the Southeastern Seminary campus.
The program title, “Jubilate,” is taken from Psalm 100 and is translated Sing Joyfully to God.” Worship is at the heart of this well rounded program. John Boozer, one of the musical directors stated, “Jubilate” presents the Gospel in song in such a way that it is a worship experience.”
The music by some of the most renown composers and Christian artists such as Michael Neal, Paul Baloche, and Daniel Tomlyn. Songs include traditional Christian favorites and some of the newest songs such as “Not Guilty,” and the Gospel favorite “When Jesus Saves.”
The concert will feature performances by the Chapel Choir, the Seminary Orchestra, and the contemporary praise vocal and instrumental ensembles who are known as Doxology.
Doxology is a group of vocalist and instrumental musicians which present the finest in contemporary and traditional sacred music. The 52 voice Chapel Choir will be accompanied by the Seminary Orchestra on many of their songs. The orchestra will also be featured by themselves on several selections.
