Police Need Your Help

Wake Forest Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a car responsible for a hit and run collision Wednesday afternoon that injured two motorists, including a local pregnant woman.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Heritage Lakes Drive and the Dr. Calvin Jones Highway (NC 98 Bypass).

The vehicle that caused the accident is a red Chevrolet Corvette convertible. Evidence recovered at the scene indicates the car sustained significant damage to the driver’s door and along the rear quarter panel. The person driving the Corvette is described as a white male with dirty blonde hair.

Wake Forest-area body shop owners are urged to be on the lookout for a vehicle matching the Corvette’s description.
