CFC Event with Leland Ryken of Wheaton College
Please join us at the Center for Faith and Culture next Friday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of remembering the 400-year legacy and cultural influence of the King James Version of the Bible with Dr. Leland Ryken. Dr. Ryken is Professor of English at Wheaton College and is author or editor of a number of books.
As Evangelicals we must not forget our history. One important piece of our history is the amazing story of the King James Bible with its religious and cultural significance. If we believe that history is lineal, hence going somewhere under the Providence of God, then our past informs us on our present. Forget that and we will depreciate the work of God in the past and overate our work in the present. Few are better equipped to help us remember this significant event than Leland Ryken.
