Praying for Baltimore

Crossover Baltimore Prayer Group

Beth Moore once said, “Prayerful lives are powerful lives; prayer-less lives are powerless lives.” Prayer is the Christian’s opportunity to communicate with God and to join him in his work in the world. I believe prayer is the fuel for any work that God calls us to do. However, if we are truly honest, most of us (myself included) do not make prayer the priority it should be in our lives.

During the campus-wide prayer vigil, the Lord laid on my heart to have a team on campus praying for the Crossover Baltimore team. We will meet June 2-7 in Appleby Chapel from 7:30 am-8:30 am to pray for the team being sent, the churches and pastors they will be partnering with, the people being ministered to, and personal revival. If you cannot meet during this time, please consider taking thirty minutes to an hour each day to pray on your own in the chapel or from wherever you are. Prayer prompts will be available in Appleby Chapel for you to use throughout the day.

Bring a friend or two (or three!) and let’s seek the Lord for revival in the city of Baltimore and our own hearts. If you have any questions, please email kierstenjoy@hotmail.com.
