The 9Marks at Southeastern Conference
The 9Marks at Southeastern Conference equips church leaders, students, and all Christians with a biblical vision and practical resources for displaying God’s glory to the nations through healthy churches. The partnership between Southeastern and 9Marks seeks to examine each of the 9 marks of a church. This two-day conference is held on the campus of Southeastern and can be taken for course credit. This year’s 9Marks at Southeastern conference will be held on September 25-26, 2015 and will focus on the topic of Church Discipline.
The more the culture turns against Christianity, the more crucial it becomes for churches to figure out where they stand. Church discipline clarifies who the church is, brightens the lines between life and death, grows the church in health, and protects the name of Christ. Without discipline, a church will wither. With discipline, it will bear the peaceful fruit of righteousness. How then do we discipline with wisdom and love?
Speakers at this year’s conference are:
- Danny Akin – President of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
- Mark Dever – Pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church
- Thabiti Anyabwile – Pastor of Anacostia River Church
- Ligon Duncan – Chancellor/CEO of Reformed Theological Seminary
- Garrett Kell – Pastor of Del Ray Baptist Church
- Mez McConnell – Pastor of Niddrie Community Church
